Merge IDC Group Acquisition

 

Melbourne, Australia – July 2016 – The Directors of the Merge IDC Group (a privately owned industry data communications company) have announced today the sale of the former business entities of the Merge IDC Group Pty Ltd.

 

Established in 2010, The Merge IDC Group (Industry Data Communication) is a 100% Australian owned and operated company with offices located in Perth (HO) and Melbourne. Merge IDC distribute a complete range of IP Networking and Wireless products directly from some of the world’s leading technology manufacturers.

 

The Merge IDC Systems Engineering business (WIP) has been acquired by wireless integration company Radlink Communications Pty Ltd (www.radlink.com.au).  As well as taking over current projects Radlink have taken on key members of the engineering staff to ensure all current and past Merge IDC engineering clients continue to be supported.

 

The Merge IDC Product Division has been sold to a related investment company, Ionian Enterprises Pty Ltd. The new owner has acquired all rights to the former Merge IDC Group Pty Ltd inclusive of the trading name Merge IDC, stock, client base, intellectual property, plant and equipment.

 

Merge IDC is in the process of re-locating the business to Melbourne where it intends to expand the product ranges previously offered in the areas of industrial networking, commercial networking, outdoor and indoor wireless solutions, power systems, optical transceivers, copper, fibre cabling and panel products.

 

Mr. Whan said “The business has been proffered a rare second chance; we have divested the troubled engineering division and will now re-focus on our core business of distributing leading international vendors’ technologies. This will ensure a ‘best-possible’ pricing model coupled with our mandate to build a proactive technical support services team for our customers. It’s been a tough couple of months but we are extremely excited about the future for Merge IDC, with hard work we look forward to earning the continued support of our customers.”
